A Big Fat Emo Wedding

What happens when a couple of (self-confessed) country-lovin' emo bumpkins grow up?

They have a big fat emo wedding extravaganza, of course!

Visually speaking, Matthew & Hollie's day was exactly how they wanted it... think black flowers, black dress code, black everything

But don't be fooled by the doom and gloom - this family-friendly affair was warm-hearted and a real pleasure to put together!

Location:

Lartington Hall, Barnard Castle, County Durham

Time of year:

November wedding

Wedding theme:

Black, black and more black (except for the bride). Think emo music, tarot cards, skeletons and a great day had by all.

Our approach:

What a fun brief…

They told us they hate colour – so we totally de-saturated the colour grade.

They told us their kids are the most special part of their day – so we went out of the way to get lots of fun family shots.

They told us they were skipping the standard wedding playlist – so we finished the film with a metal montage!

Bride and groom kissing outdoors, bride holding a flower bouquet, overcast sky background.

“From start to finish, and even beyond, Jack and Nico have been exactly what we needed from wedding videographers. Professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and most importantly people who just ‘’got us’’ and our vision. They reassured us and added their professional direction when asked. Resulting in them delivering a perfect wedding video.”

We are documentary-style, story-led wedding videographers based in Nottingham, capturing weddings across the UK. Whether you're getting married in Newcastle, London, the Cotswolds, or anywhere in between, we create cinematic wedding films that preserve the emotions and moments of your special day.
